My son and I wanted to buy a 2013 crew cab Sierra. My son had done a lot of research, so he knew exactly what he wanted. Todd, our salesman, listened to what my son told him and showed us 3 trucks on the lot. My son picked the Mocha-steele 4x4 with Z71 package, and he could not be happier. One unusual aspect of this story is that my son is deaf, and it's not easy for us to find a salesman who takes the extra time to understand what he wants. I have purchased two vehicles from Bobby Layman on West Broad Street over the years. In 2007 I came to the Carroll location to purchase a new vehicle. The reason I came to Carroll even though I live near the West Broad Location was because of Ben Stroup. I knew Ben through friends of mine. My purchase of the Yukon XL was quick and to the point. My questions were answered clearly and, although I wanted a Suburban, Ben took the time to check as far as a 400 mile radius with no luck. He did locate a black Yukon XL. It had 4-wheel drive that at first I thought I didn't want. But now that I've had that feature I wouldn't buy another SUV without it. My next vehicle will likely be either a Suburban or Yukon (maybe Denali). As Ben explained, the Yukon XL, Suburban, Denali and Escallade are all the same vehicle just with different bells and whistles and price tags! My experience with service has always been satisfactory. The service advisers (I usually deal with Steve Alexander) are always pleasant, courteous and never pushy. They have pointed out concerns that I was not aware of and always given me a very competitive price for repairs. An important point is that I was also told if it was something to just keep an eye on and not of immediate concern. The fact that I drive approximately 27 miles to Carroll as opposed to about two miles to West Broad Street when I do need service is a good indicator that I'm a satisfied customer. We purchased a 2012 GMC Acadia and was very pleased with the treatment we received from Jay and Tom.
